Andreja_Stojkovski ANDREJA STOJKOVSKIMCET – Chairperson

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and earned his LL.M. in European Community Law at the University Carlos III in Madrid, Spain. He represented the University Carlos III at the Regional Final in Dublin of the European Law Moot Court Competition of 2005/06 and MCET at the Citizen’s AGORA on Climate Change in June 2008.

His speciality is EC and International Environmental Law, and his field of interest includes: EU Structures, Legal system and Application of EC Law, Common Agricultural Policy, Enlargement Policy, SAP and relations between Republic of Macedonia and EU, EU and other International Organizations etc.

Lidija_Dimova LIDIJA DIMOVAMCET – Executive Director

Graduated Journalism and English Language at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. In 1993 established her Translation Company “Abakus” ltd Skopje. She is also a certified Trainer in Public Policy Writing by the Local Government Initiative of the Open Society Institute from Budapest. In 2008 she participated as a representative of MCET at several conferences organised, or co-organised by the European Commission and ECAS, dedicated to the Civil Society Facility.

Her speciality is Management of EU Funds, and her field of expertise includes: Flanking policies, Regional Policy, Enlargement Policy, SAP and relations between Republic of Macedonia and EU, Instrument for Pre-Accession, Community Programmes, Gender Equality, Social policies, Competition Policy etc.

Danica_Stanojevic DANICA DZONOVAMCET – Executive Board Member

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and then enrolled at Postgraduate studies at the Pittsburgh University in Skopje where she earned her M.A. in Public Policy. She worked with the Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia, and then as Chief of Cabinet to the Minister of Justice. She is currently Head of Unit at the Ministry of Justice.

Her speciality is Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, and her field of expertise includes: EU Structures, Legal System and Application of EC Law, Cooperation in the field of Justice and Home Affairs etc.

Ilija_Janoski ILIJA JANOSKIMCET – Executive Board Member (Deputy-Chairperson)

Graduated Electrical Engineering at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and is currently enrolled at Postgraduate studies in International Economy at the Economic Institute in Skopje. Has been working with the Customs Administration on various positions and is currently Head of Sector EU Integration. During his professional career he has been involved in the planning, development and implementation of the Strategy of Integrated Border Management.

His speciality is Integrated Border Management, and his field of expertise includes: Internal Market, Economic and Monetary Union, Community Programmes, Cooperation in the field of Justice and Home Affairs etc.

Fani_Karanfilova-Panovska FANI KARANFILOVA PANOVSKAMCET – Executive Board Member

Graduated Economy at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and is currently enrolled at Postgraduate studies in Monetary Policy. During the last decade she has been involved in Public Administration Reform and Decentralisation Process and currently works for the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia as EU Programme Director.

Her speciality is Management of EU Funds, and her field of expertise includes: European integration, EU Structures, Internal Market, Economic and Monetary Union, Regional Policy, Structural Policies, Instrument for Pre-Accession etc.

liljana_sekerinska LILJANA SEKERINSKA-GJORGJEVICMCET – Executive Board Member

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and holds a Masters degree (LL.M.) from Georgetown University in International Trade Law.  Her professional experience includes work in the civil sector on legal and public administration reform, and teaching experience at the South East Europe University in Tetovo, Macedonia.  Currently works at the World Bank Country Office in Skopje where she handles the transport sector portfolio for the country.

Her speciality is EC Transport and Trade Policies, and her field of expertise includes: EU Structures, Common Foreign and Security Policy, Legal System and Application of EC Law, Enlargement Policy, Cooperation in the field of Justice and Home Affairs, EU External Relations with other international actors etc.

Simeon_Petrovski SIMEON PETROVSKIMCET – Supervisory Board Member

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, where later he earned his LL.M. in Business Law. He is currently working on his Ph.D. Thesis in Competition Law at the University of Ljubljana. He worked as a State Advisor at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia, and currently works at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

dragan_ristovski DRAGAN RISTOVSKIMCET – Supervisory Board Member

Graduated Political Science at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and later studied at the Postgraduate studies in European Integration and Regional Studies in Graz, Austria. He worked at the Euro-Balkan Institute as Head of Research and Information, and was Chairperson of MCET for the period 2005-2007.

Jana_Sazdova JANA SAZDOVSKAMCET – Supervisory Board Member

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and later on enrolled Postgraduate studies at the Kapodistrian University in Athens where she earned her M.A. in South-East European Studies. Currently works in the Central Bank of the Republic of Macedonia as a supervisor.

Graduated Economy at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and studied European Studies  at  Europa-Universität  Viadrina in Frankfurt /Oder, Germany and BRIE University in Rousse, Bulgaria where she earned her MES degree. She works at the MCET as a Programme Director.

Her expertise covers Employment policy and her field of interest includes:  Economic integration, Competition Policy and Competition Law, Industrial and Enterprise Policy, Social Policy, Single Market, ЕU Structures and Institutions.

Graduated Economics at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and holds MBA degree from Purdue University, Krannert School of
Management. Since July 2007, Borko Handjiski has been working as Economist at the Joint European Commission/World Bank Office in Brussels. Previously he worked as Economic Affairs Officer in the EC Delegation in Skopje (since September 2005), Research Analyst at the World Bank (Aug 2004 – Aug 2005) and the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia (Feb 2002 – July 2004).

His speciality is Management of EU Funds, and his field of interest includes: Economic and Monetary Union, EU integration, EU Trade Policy etc.

Georgi_Hristov GEORGI HRISTOV

Graduated Electronics and Telecommunication at the University St. Ciril and Methodius in Skopje and earned his MBA in Finance Management at the University of Sheffield (UK). He worked for Macedonian Telecom and, later on, managed a public utility company for water supply. During the last 5 years, he is involved in the decentralisation process in the Republic of Macedonia. Currently works as Deputy Team Leader at the EU funded project “Support to the Decentralisation Process”.

His speciality is Regional and Structural Policy, and his field of expertise includes: Economic and Monetary Union, Subsidiarity principle, Energy Policies, Committee of Regions.

Graduated Political Science – International Relations and European Studies at the American University in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, and earned her M.A, in European Politics at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. She currently works in the Sector for integration at the Secretariat for European Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia

Her speciality is Freedom, Security and Justice, and her field of expertise includes: European integration process, EU institutions, Enlargement policy, EU conditionality and negotiations for accession.

Neda_Korunovska NEDA KORUNOVSKA

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and is currently enrolled at Postgraduate studies in European Community Law. She worked as staff attorney at the Macedonian branch of the ABA/CEELI and worked more closely on judiciary reform and clinical legal education. Since 2004 she works as Law Program Coordinator at the Foundation Open Society Institute – Macedonia (FOSIM).  Neda wrote, co-wrote or participated in the editorial teams for several major publications dedicated to Law, Street Law, Judicial System or Police, and Free Access to Law for several publishers. She is also a certified Trainer in Public Policy Writing by the Local Government Initiative of the Open Society Institute from Budapest.

Her speciality is Freedom, Security and Justice, and her field of expertise includes: EU Structures, Legal system and Application of EC Law, Enlargement Policy, SAP and relations between Republic of Macedonia and EU, Instrument for Pre-Accession, Community Programmes, and etc.

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She has been working in Law practice since graduation and spreads her interest in intellectual property – trademarks, patents, domain names, copyrights and other related rights, and soon she passes exam for Trademark and Patent Attorney. Currently she is working in her field of expertise as Country Office Manager in Macedonia of Brussels based SD PETOSEVIC.

Her speciality is EC Intellectual Property Law, and her field of expertise includes: Internal Market, Customs Union, Cooperation in the field of Justice and Home Affairs etc.

IGOR SPIROVSKI

Graduated Law at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and started working with the Labour Law Court in Skopje. He later on worked as Secretary General of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia and was a representative of the Republic of Macedonia in the Venice Commission. Currently he is a Constitutional Judge.

Graduated Law at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and earned his M.A. at the Center for European Integration Studies from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany. He is currently working as Junior Desk Officer at the Directorate for European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His previous posts include Junior Associate at the Secretariat for European Affairs and Assistant at BASME. He has participated at several Summer Academies and Trainings concerning issues from the area of Freedom, Security and Justice.
