Third Quarterly Accession Watch Report

This quarterly report refers to the time period July 2009 to September 2009, and focuses on the following topics: EU Enlargement policy, the implementation of the eight benchmarks and the Presidential and Local elections of Spring 2009; Inter-ethnic relations, political dialog and building/ functioning of democratic institutions; Fundamental rights and the implementation of the Police Law; Judicial reforms; Sustainable track record on the implementation of the anti-corruption legislation; Public administration reforms; Social policy and employment; and Business climate and economic development. The report also contains possible scenarios for the Progress Report 2009 and the European Council of December 2009.
